Fertilization Plan
Fertilization is an irreplaceable practice in agriculture, consisting of replenishing the soil with nutrients that are depleted by the extraction of the crops themselves. Fertilizers represent one of the main inputs in agricultural production, so their efficient use is an important source of savings and reduction of environmental impacts.
Thus, excessive fertilization, not adjusted to the real needs of the crop, either by quantity, type of fertilizer or time of application, can cause problems due to nitrate leaching, eutrophication of water and greenhouse gas emissions, in addition to unnecessary and not resulting in an equivalent increase in production.
Similarly, insufficient fertilization leads not only to a reduction in crop yield but also to a loss of soil fertility.
